Please could someone help me?

I am trying to find out the value of my granddads comics as he would like to sell them but I have no idea how much they are worth so I need some help.

He has some comics called "The Rover" which he has many issues of the first one is issue 1512 which was published on June 19th 1954 and the last issue was issue 1808 which was published on February 20th 1960. He has most of them comics in between those periods however some issues he is missing.

The second one is called "The Wizard" which again he has many issues of the first issue is issue 1522 which was published on April 16th 1955 and the last issue 1907 published on September 1st 1962. Once again he does not have all the issues in between these two date periods.

He some copies of "The Hotspur" which starts with issue 340 puslished on April 23rd 1966 and the last issue he has is 391 published on April 15th 1967 and once again he is missing issues in between these two date periods.

He has one issue of "The Tiger and Jag" which was published on August 16th 1969.

All his comics are in good condition and have maintained their colourings well however a few but not very many do have selo tape on the bindings.

If someone could offer me a rough estimate of how much these comics would be worth that would be brillaint. I am not expecting them to be worth very much but thought it would be worth a try.

Many thanks

The issues you mention from the 1960's are comics. The issues you mention from the 1950's are what are called 'story papers'. The best site I can suggest for getting advice about these is the forums at...

where I am also a member.
