Whenever some newbie who does'nt even collect comics but wants to know the value of his Wildcats #1 for example comes to these boards I often see a new topic like 'hey whats this comic worth' in the comic values section or else where.  Thats what the fricking price guide is for.  Admins. lets start deleting those crappy topics as a means of quality control, admins should private message a standard copied brief overview of how to search for a title to that individual.  Look through the comic values section and see what these lazy new members who will only come to the site once or twice to have someone else actually look up there comics are doing to our site.  This is ruining important parts of the site, and making it a FAR less interesting place to visit, and a million notchs below the CGC boards.  Havent you noticed long standing members disapearing from the boards or annoucing they are leaving, this policy can only help.

Some times...innocent posts like that can harbor longtime informative members...

Sometimes all it takes is a little mentoring...

And the deletion of posts tends to drive away just as many members as "What's my book worth" posts...

Yeah, this one would be a little tough. It's not just noobs who put up 'grade my comic' posts. How do you decide which ones get to stay?

Those posts are kinda silly though.

Thanks Shadow.

or.....just be like everyone when I was new here and tell me I'm a dolt (an exageration...kinda) for not using search, and then ignore every other question the "noob" might have until he/she either goes away (leading to "top 'dollor'" jokes from now til eternity) or, pain stakingly sticks with it until their coveted post count (not BC or "before change" of course) is high enough for acknowledgement.

an exageration...kinda

What if the thread initiator asks for it to be deleted?

It'd be less fun if we couldn't make fun of them though..

Besides, the good ones who stay around and take it are usually the people who end up staying and contributing. think of it as initiation.

Bobost its comments like that that make people the way they are now.who are you to judge them maybe some of these guys need to find out whats really bothering them.look in the mirror or think hard what it really is.No matter how many people hate the cook doesn't make me want them away from whatever they want to talk about.I think they do a great job running this site.everyones got their own story thats what makes it spin.

NOW THATS GOOD BBQ!
