Now that I have a complete 9.8 set I'm not sure what to do...I just feel like a weight has been lifted 'cause it's taken me a while...over 4 months I think...but I see some other guy is selling the complete set for 13 grand...I don't know if it's worth that much but is sure is tempting to find out.

I could buy a whole lot more SA and BA books with 13 grand

Congrats...Always a great feeling when you hit the mark. That would be awesome if the set would sell for 13G's..very cool.

Nice run. I was going to say no one can ever take that away from you, but with all the thieves around they could, but they can't take away the accomplishment of putting together such a phenomenal set.

Where does he get those wonderful toys!

I have yet begun to surrender.

that is a great accomplishment! IMO the lot of watchmen in the ebay store that is up is WAY too much.

I must say I am completely blown away by how much Watchmen is getting these days. Do you all think the prices/values will hold up after the movie has been released...or what if the movie turns out to be a real dog? The idea that someone could get 13,000 for that run is mindboggling. I can think of many extremely rare undergrounds or EC's I'd be happy to trade for that kind of value. Now I'm going to have to dig out my run of Watchmen and consider getting them slabbed (They are in NM/M condition and haven't seen the light of day since they were on the stands, as I also have the Graffiti LTD. Ed, The Original Hardcover available only through the Science Fiction Book Club and a 1st of the trade paperback if I want to read the series again. (I decided not to quintuple dip on the Absolute Edition) Therefore it wouldn't be too hard to convince myself to have the series slabbed and then sold to the highest bidder....what a world, indeed....looks like now might be the time! Eh? What do you think the supplemental Watchmen stuff could go for, like The Comics Journal issue dedicated to Watchmen, The Comics Interview Watchmen issue and other assorted tomes of the time? I think that stuff is scarcer than nice condition issues of the run, especially in like condition. Sometimes this forum is a real revelation to comic saps like me who tend to forget about this stuff while concentrating on other aspects...undergrounds, in my case....thanks for the info, fellas.
