Wow...did anyone else pick this up?
I havent picked up anything with Ultimate in the title except Ult Spidey for quite some time now....FF just went too far out there for me to pick it up....Ult X-men got down right weird....and the Ultimates were given the Manga treatment with some sloppy story telling....
Last book i picked up that wasnt Spidey was Ult Human...and that was just OK in my book...
But i went ahead and picked up Ult Origins the other day since its leading into Ultimatum...the revamp event to jumpstart the Ultimate Universe out of its current slump....
must say i really liked this issue....and i love the take on alot of the characters and connections that they have to other characters that are pretty familiar from the Ultimate books...all in all a very good read. Wont give any spoilers myself...but if others that have read it feel the need............avast ye matey...and spoil away!

| My only problem is the first scene said something like"Four months ago", yet it was refrencing an event in Ultimate Team-Up #2(IIRC). So ALL of Ultimate Universe continuity has occured in the last four months? And PEP thought the 616 universe had time issues,LOL.

| Just read my copy I got from Wizard World and I have to say I sort of like it. I dug the part where we see Thors hammer in the snow, but I'm completely stunned by Nick Furys status as a super solider serum guinea pig. Why the F is Nick Fury a super solider or something similar, and the mutant gene was invented? I was even more surprised finding out Fury was arrested while pludering liberated civilians houses. Considering the Ultimate version of Fury is african american, I'm not sure what Marvel was thinking having him being a theif during wartime, just seems like a bad idea and could easily be construed as racism. But more importantly, IT'S NICK FURY, he doesnt steal from civilian war victims! It makes me want to read the next issue thats for sure, maybe not so much because I'm impressed with the art or storytelling but mainly just to see where this is going...

okay here goes.... it was just okay. WTF happened to Ult. Hulk v Ult. Woverine..... 2 issues and then that's it?!
