Hello! I'm new to this forum so I'm sorry if this question has been asked before.

I noticed one day a while ago that the cover image for the Venom: Lethal Protector #1 Black/Error Cover counterfeit disappeared. I had e-mailed CPG afterwards but never received a response. What reason would there be for a cover image to be deleted and is there a way it could be retrived?

Thanks for your time!

Welcome, Vacant.

A scan should only be deleted if it contains nudity and needs to be edited, or if it is the wrong scan for that issue.  I would suspect if that one was deleted, it was not the correct scan, but I didn't do it, so I don't know for sure.

The DB site is not pulling up right now for me to check there, unfortunately.

If someone has a copy that sees this, they could probably get the scan to you.  We're helpful like that! BigGrin

Thanks for the quick reply!

It wasn't incorrect, it clearly showed the difference in the Marvel Logo at the upper left corner, and there certainly wasn't any nudity. If fact, this is the only place I've ever been able to find that scan! I've been looking for almost two years now.

A while back they changed over to using better quality scans and a few thousand or so had to be replaced, but those should remain in the DB with the tag "upload a better scan." The missing ones had something to do with the changeover and a bunch of scans just disappeared which is probably what happened to the cover you mentioned.
