Both were slightly over graded but not too bad. Opinions?

I'm not quite sure what to make of the Spiderman, the comic itself is pretty tight but it is off center. Slight rust migration on the top staple.

Looks like a rip around the top staple on the FF. Is it firmly attached?
6.0 if still attached.

Spread of the pages on the rear scan of the ASM makes me think it had
a pretty severe roll at one time.
4.5-5

DISCLAIMER: Although I've been collecting comics for > 30 years, I've
been grading for < 1 month. I tend to be a pretty harsh grader (I've
added 1 to what I would normally grade them to offset this), and
I'm posting my guesses here just to to get some practice and see how
I do compared to the other pros here. Take my estimates with a large
grain of salt!

On the FF, that area around staple is not a tear on the back, just the scan showing some discoloration in that area. There is a slight tear by that staple on the color part but it is less than a 1/4 ".

I'm wondering if the ASM was pressed at some point.

I think you are both being a wee bit harsh on both of them. I have the FF at about a 7.0 and the ASM at a 6.0 - 6.5 (without taking off too much for the miswrap). If the miswrap weighs heavier than I'm accounting for I can see it dropping some more.

The top corners of the FF are pretty rounded and there
are several breaks in the spine with color breaks. Also
the front edge of the cover looks pretty worn, although
this may be JPG artifacts. Also looks like some creases
with color breaks in the FF logo.

The ASM has the pressed out roll causing the pages to fan.
Many stress marks w/ color breaks on the spine, bottom
corners are not very clean. A couple of creases on the
SP of Spider-man. And what looks like two stains. One
above BW's head, and another above her arm. Also
a dark stain and a 3/4" tear on the back.

I was gonna go 6.5 on the FF and 5.5 on the SM (hate the spine roll thingy).
