Most noteable defects are on the spine. Stress lines and small tear but staples are still attached. Also pen writing on the cover. What do you think?

I'd say 4.0 - 4.5. The writing is lame, but it's not that much of a killer!

3.5 -4.0 but leaning towards the 3.5. Seems to have a case of spine roll/lift. The pen doesn't change the grade at this level.

I love that book Spazz.  I'm going for a solid 4.0 on the book, HOWEVER, if the book is brittle which it could very well be, I'd drop it down to a 2.5.

as is=4.0

brittle paper=2.5
