| I know kree has an account on there but does anyone else on here have an account and is actually selling comics on there? I've gotten two deals off of there, bought a full run of Watchmen for $45 and resold it for $80 and Iron Man #1 for $40 and resold it for $85. Im considering putting my comics on there instead of ebay since they dont charge any fee's at all. I just dont know if its as popular amongst the comic geeks out in lala land.

PEP (5/30/2008) I just dont know if its as popular amongst the comic geeks out in lala land.
as you know- there is no place like ebay with the amount of folks whom look and bid there.
You got nothing to lose if they don't charge there but do they have a reserve so you don't lose out or do you plan to set the price at exactly what you want to start? Sounds like you have made out well there with flipping your buys over to ebay. You made more than enough money to cover your list fee's.

I had a store open for about 3 months but never sold a comic. It was easy to set up the store buty difficult bringing in the buyers. I think the hardest part was that coming in new, you have no feedback and people don't want to take a chance on a purchase. I had my comics priced very competetivly and still got no bites. You really have to work hard at promoting the store and bringing the numbers in. I may give it another shot in a few months once eBay starts losing sellers. At least its all free and the only thing you stand to lose is time. I have watched the site for a while now and some of the long time comic sellers aren't selling much either. If the majority of buyers would look outside of eBay the place would do pretty good.

| Yeah I talked with Kree last night and he is having the same problem in getting buyers. I guess its trying to get people to go to the site. You know what might work with the feedback thing is to put your ebay ID on there so they can see your feedback there and maybe they wont be so hesitant about buying.

There have been discussions about that on the site but if eBay found out they wouldn't allow it. I'm sure you could let the buyers know about your ebay account thru e-mail but technically you're not allowed to post stuff from ebay on other sites that offer competition. Maybe if a bunch of us are willing to give it a go we can help each other out by making a purchase or two. What ecrater really needs is to allow items to be sold auction style as that would really get sales going but they have said numerous times that it isn't gonna happen. Also there is no best offer option for those who specialize in collectible items. That has been requested too but i'm not sure they will ever add it. Right now your only option is to list on your main page that your items are also negotiable thru e-mail and that you are open to any reasonable offer. You could then change the price really easily and send the buyer a link.

Yah lots of the old timers on the site say that its not the best place to sell these types of items. I agree with them.
