I use bidnapper.com and twice in the past two days my bids have been BLOCKED by ebay.  under the website it says the reason the were blocked was:

Buyer Requirements

This seller has set buyer requirements for this item and only sells to buyers who meet those requirements.
You are unable to bid on or buy this item because:
  • You either don't have a PayPal account or your PayPal account is not linked to your eBay account. We encourage you to register with PayPal - it is the fast, easy and safe way to pay. Register with PayPal | Already have a PayPal account?

    Critical error = true

anyone know anything about this or have had the same problem?  I DO have a paypal account... the only thing i can think of is maybe because the bidnapper website is placing a proxy bid in my behalf and doesnt have my paypal info stored in a cookie or something?  weird...

Wow, I wonder if eBay would block sniping at all? I somehow doubt it because they'd be losing money....I also haven't heard of eBay changing any rules towards sniping...They have changed many rules these past 2 months but nothing about this. I'm thinking it's because your snipe account isn't all hooked up to your PayPal account and eBay can't find it so therefore it's getting blocked or the proxy thing.

Might be worth putting this question on eBays community boards and see what others have to say because I'm guessing you won't be the only one with this problem.

aaight, ive figgered it out.  There is a requirement that a seller can choose to only sell to members who have a paypal acct.  What you need to do is synchronize your paypal acct with your ebay acct by going to:

my ebay /my account/addresses/view all shipping addresses

then you will be given the option to link your paypal to your ebay accts.

I wish i didn't find this out by being blocked on a bid for a FABLES 6 RRP

     WHICH SOLD FOR $10

Bid sniping is a load of crap.  It's one thing to log on during the last few moments and win the auction, but it's something else to use a program to screw people over.  For the record, sniping programs don't "help people make more money if anything they cause sellers to lose money.  Sniping programs wait until the last second to bid preventing others from placing more bids.  I recently lost an auction I had been winning for 6 days, and was willing to go higher on because of a litteral last second bid through a sniping program.  I posted a rant on the board because of it, and quite frankly I think you're a D-Bag for using said programs.  I hope e-bay bans the programs/practice, and I'd love to see users of such programs banned as well.

This is a little harsh Havok..We know you don't like sniping programs but you can't do much about them...And calling someone a D-Bag and saying they should be banned isn't really needed here either. Each to their own..If they want to use the program they are allowed to do so as it's not against eBay's rules.

You screwed yourself. If you were "willing to go higher" why didn't you do so? I don't use sniper programs because I'm cheap and paranoid about reliability, so I do it by hand. I've got it down to a science--manual bids in with 2-3 seconds left.

My only question is do you really need a Fables book to add to your collection that you have to move soon?
