I use Esnipe for nearly all my auction wins. I wonder how people get by not using it..

I don't use a sniping program..I used it once or twice but I'm usually around when auctions end..But if I know I'm not going to be around I just put in my max bid and leave it..If it goes over my max then it just means it's not for me (yet).

I agree here! I have never used a snipe program. And I win most of the auctions that I bid on.

But I have gotten over getting too mad about losing an auction. That same item that you are looking to aquire will be BACK on there at some point! (it may take up to a year or more! - ie; from experience!) but eventually you will get that item for the price you want to pay for it.

But you really have to be an "AVID" ebayer to find the deals. "OFF peak" times are the way too go! I've found killer deals at 3' o clock in the morning. And when you find those people that don't know what the have and put a "Buy it Now" on their items are my personal favorite!

As for bidding goes, I've gotten to the point where I put the absolute maximum on an item that I "REALLY" want to pay for it, about 10 seconds before an auction ends. That way... If they want the item worse than me... THEY'RE REALLY GONNA PAY FOR IT!...

I've not gotten outbid by 50 cent in quite a few years now!

Oh! and P.S. " I LOVE the HELL out of some eBay!!!!!

So this will be short and to the point. I'm pissed off right now because e-bay hasn't done anything about bid snipingbots. I understand last second votes, but todays example was ridiculous. I've been watching/high bidder on a "So Much Fun"variant issue of Uncanny X-men 221 for the past 6-7 days. Minutes ago the auction was set to end and to be safe I bumped up my bid amount and then watched for the final 4 minutes refreshing every 5-10 seconds. I watched as the timer went all the way down to 2 seconds before I was sniped at literally the last second. I am so pissed because the bid amount was only .50 above my max amount and I would have easily bid more.

Whats so damn frustrating is that E-bay is changing around so much of it's site, and really pissing off it's sellers that you'd think they'd take into acount maybe blocking these sniping bots so that people could have actual bid contests, but no, instead some douche bag with a snipe program steals my sale.

And it better not have been someone from this site that out bid me or I'm gonna lose it...

I don't see what the problem is - bid your highest, and then if you lose, then no worries. Or, get with the program and bid using a snipe-bot... either way, this is nothing new to bitch about, and it's not going to stop.
