Hello All, I'm unclear as to what the above is a list of and how it pertains to Fantagraphics, so maybe someone can shed a little light on this here novice to the grand concept of this thread. Are the numbers specific issues in total, or titles? Do they include collections like TPB's, Hardcovers, etc or strictly "comic books". Just curious, because overall, I probably have more output from Fantagraphics than I do any other publisher except maybe Drawn and Quarterly...thanks for any clarification and hopefully I can make some kind of contribution!

| WP, The #'s are total # of unique issues (no dupes). They include whatever items are listed in the database, which should not include any non-comics. So, yes, it includes HC's, SC's, etc.......

In reference to the Atlas/Seaboard thread, that makes total sense because I see the breakdown of the titles. With Fantagraphics it was less clear because I wasn't sure what the reference was, and still am not sure...Is there a checklist of titles somewhere? What is the database you refer to? And I'm guessing that publications Fantagraphics has put out like the recent book on Dwaine Tinsley wouldn't count, but what about the recently released Rebel Visions in tpb, a great history of Underground Comix? Would that be included or not? Fantagraphics is not like Marvel or DC as they publish lots of stuff about comics and not just collections of them, so I guess if I were to go through my shelves and boxes and try to figure out what I posess, it would be tough for this publisher. For instance, they have published 2 great books on Bernard Krigstein, one is a biography with some examples of his comics work, while the other is a collection only of his comics work. I guess the former would be a maybe to be included while the latter volume would be a definite inclusion...am I getting warm? Either way, thank you Argus, for at least shedding some light on what has thus far been a bit of a mystery to me.
