I'm new to grading and am not quite sure what qualifies as spine stress/crease and how much it affects the grade.

What would you grade it?



The back isn't quite as soiled as the scan makes it look.

yeah, 9.0. That's hardly any spine stress. It looks like it might be dirty, but I think that's the scanner right?

really i see about 8 diff. spine creases

Yeah there are enough spine creases to keep it out of the 9's even though only one really breaks color. There is also ding on the bottom right that hurts it to. I would think that a 8.5 would be reasonable for this one.

Yeah with that bottom right it's below 9.0, you're right.
