I would report that last message to eBay. Harassment shouldn't be tolerated. Threatening to buy an item from you just to leave false feedback is crazy.

Your right about reporting...I have just done so. Really they should have left it alone but now because they over stepped that mark eBay will go and check it out. I told them to check the sellers feedback and they'll see I'm not the only one who's upset.

Man what an idiot that seller is! Talk about shootin' yerself in the foot eh? And I'll tell you what, this guy's follow-up behavior has me rethinking my position on the original point of this thread. The guy's obviously shady.

Wow Set this really sucks...I hope you keep up on the reporting of this A$$ with ebay. That behavior should not be tolerated.

Following up with this goof-balls line of thinking...how long would ebay itself tolerate an auction that stated the following:

"I know shipping and handling costs are elevated, but because ebay is a monopoly money sucker I must charge this amount to increase my profit and avoid ebay fees."

I'm sure an auction reading like this would last a long time.

It's too bad that ebay limits the amount of space for feedback reply...I would have just quoted this guys e-mail to you as the reply.

"Psychos do not explode when sunlight hits them...I don't give a fu-- how crazy they are."

I guess I'm in the minority here but if Set one agreed to pay the shipping cost ahead of time then the actual shipping cost shouldn't matter...period. You agreed to pay then you pay. If it's cost less then to bad. I know tons of sellers my self included who have flat rates for shipping. They take the farthest region and charge that. So if you're closer than you pay a bit more than normal and if you're further you pay exact postage.

If there was accurate postage calculators than we wouldn't have to do this but it's a fact of dealing on Ebay. I was getting burned big time by the shipping calculator when it would quote the buyer one charge but when I actually went to pay it was a whole different story. So now I just charge like all packages to the US are going to Florida. That way no matter where they live in the US the shipping cost is covered....now with that said this guy was deliberate trying to avoid Ebay fees so he took a risk and got burned but I think Set one was in the wrong....D

Read more of my posts about the situation and you'll actually see I was fine with his terms...I'm not going to rewrite what I keep on saying because it's pointless.

Too many people here are defending unscrupulous business practices.

1. Circumventing EBay's fees is not a good business practice. If you do not like their fees, include them in the price of your item, not in S & H.
2. Cheating a person is not a good business practice. Saying one thing and doing something totally outside the customary is bad business.
3. Making money while sacrificing customer service and care will get you out of business fast.

A person buys an object, expects a reasonable object to be sent, with reasonable care with reasonable speed.

You, the people who disagree with Set, tell me that all of the above conditions were met, as stated in the auction and in the Terms and Conditions set forth by EBay and then you will have an argument, otherwise your opinion holds no water.

The point is the seller deserved the negative solely because his customer was unhappy with their service, and being misled and it is a person's right to voice displeasure with a seller, and by the grounds of extortion alone the seller should be booted off of EBay, if you can't see that then you are blind.

And Set, if you do receive retaliatory feedback from this seller then that too is preposterous.

well he doesn't have to worry about that now per ebays new rules but I wonder if he would have acted differently if the old rules were in effect and the seller could leave him negative feedback??...D
