Just picked this thing up yesterday. I would be curious to hear how you guys would grade it. Also throw a dollar value on it too if you wouldn't mind. I have no scanner so I did the best I could with my camera.

To my still-practicing eye, it looks like a 1.5. That's assuming the cover's still attached with all that tape. I don't know much about Spider-Man comics, but CPG.com says $1,320 in Fair/Good condition.

Man, that's an expensive comic!

O, and congrats man! I'd guess you're a Spidey collector, so you must be a pretty happy camper today.

First off, congrats. This book in any condition should be the envy of any collection.

I would be hard pressed to give anything over a 1.0 with the amount of tape on this cover. It's too bad because the inside pages look pretty white. What I don't know is if this would recieve a qualified grade if it was CGC'd. Extensive amatuer restoration? Even qualified it probably wouldn't go much higher than a 2.0.

Maybe people like KOR or BMXMan can pipe in on this topic with a bit more informed opinion.

I would say that the tape is holding the cover together and perhaps even holding it on, which puts it on the low end, maybe 1.5 restored. Probably in the 850 range.

Where does he get those wonderful toys!

I have yet begun to surrender.
