I know several people on this board collect Uncanny X-men. Can anyone show me a scan of #268 2nd print. I've searched and can't find one. I have found several websites that describe a color variation in the cover.
If you could post the scan I would be thankful.

| Sorry my scanners broke, so no pictures, but here's all you'll need to know anyways.... 268a is just a second printing. 268a has the following differences noticeable on the cover... -----1). Wolverines costume is a more reddish brown, cap's shield is a brighter shade of red, and generally the colors are more vibrant... (this is the color differences youve read about.) -----2). This issue is more simply identified by the lack of the text UK60p in the price box below the issue number and where it says Late Sept. On the first printing, "UK 60p" appears, however on the 2nd printing (268a) the text is left off, and there is just a white space where it's obvious something was meant to go. ------3) This is less substantial, and may not always hold up, but the reprint (268a) has the 30th anniversary spiderman logo, where as the first print has either the upc code, or a picture of just spidermans head and nothing else. -------4) Finaly, 268a has the words second printing printed on the bottom of the very first page of the book. And although I tried but failed to find you compariosn photos on the internet, I did find this cool bit of art...

| Thats what I thought. So back to square one, can anyone show me a 2nd print? Havok listed good info and I am thankful for the start, but I'd really like to see the 2nd print. Havok, one of these days, when you scanner isn't feeling poorly, you should do a variants guide for UXM. I for one, would love to gain your knowledge.

| Here you go... this was part of a 20 issue 1992 Marvel Vintage Pack set sold through either Sears or JC Penney Catalogs. As Havok explained the easiest way to tell from the cover is that the UPC is totally different than in the first print and the UK price is missing. Here is a scan for you-
BTW, there is also a 2nd print for X-Men 245 from the 1993 MVP set.

Does the 245 have any identifying marks? Say missing UK price?
Thanks for the scan, very helpful.
