My daughter was on her way to her BFF's for a myspace fashion show which for some reason made me shudder. Those two get together and armageddon doesn't stand a chance.

I spent a total of $8.48 at the LCS last week, a new low!

I need a new game for the PC badly, I resorted to buying Baseball Mogul 2008 just to have something to do, when I am not doing anything else.

It is about to rain.

I love bottled water and I ramble when I get bored.

Since last year I went through a task of reading 50 books within a year...easily done if i counted comics..however i only counted trades which were far and few....Through this I got the bug to read novels as well..Sorta odd for myself since I love reading with illustrations and will usually shun things without pictures :P

Anyone else in this boat?

I'm into the Warriors series...Fantasy based with cats.....I'm not a big reader of fantasy unless in comic form though...This is new to me...So far I ripped through first book...Now nearly finished 2nd book..Happy with this turn of events.

Over the past year or so I found more books and interesting writers than I thought I'd find.

MONTESANO, Wash. —

Authorities believe a Washington man was killed by accidentally urinating on a downed power line after a car crash.

Grays Harbor County sheriff's Deputy Dave Pimentel (PIM'-en-tel) said Monday 50-year-old Roy Messenger was not seriously hurt after he collided with a power pole Friday and called a relative to pull his car from a ditch.

However, family members found Messenger electrocuted when they arrived.

Pimentel says Messenger apparently urinated into a roadside ditch but didn't see the live wire. The urine stream likely served as a conductor, allowing the electricity to reach his body.

Pimentel says there will be an autopsy but burn marks indicated the way the electricity traveled through Messenger's body.

Did you workout today? I'm going on 39 and have been trying for the past 7 months to get back to where I used to be fitness wise. I only work out 4 days in the gym at most, but try to do abs every day (currently 17 days in row without missing).

So did you get in any exercise today, whether it was a long walk, riding a bike, weights or anything else? I'm going to start charting myself to build some consistency again.

I myself throw in a lot of foods that are healthy to me, but I would have to admit that my diet is leaning heavily towards unhealthy. I really try to avoid foods that are high in saturated fats. But I also eat any dessert under the sun.

2010 MLB Season

Excited about the upcoming season. Felix Hernandez and Cliff Lee at the top of the rotation, it should be great. Somewhat upset about Russell Branyan signing with another team, he gave us 31 HR's last season on a team with no HR power. Pitching is solid, still wondering who is going to produce at the plate.

I haven't decided what other teams I'm excited about. Last season was so disappointing with the Yanks and their biggest payroll in baseball winning it all.

Bully or Bullied?

There was a kid who bullied me in elementary school, and into my first year of junior high. It wasn't that bad, as I wasn't afraid of him, I just couldn't stand the harassment and he was twice my size. Nowadays I laugh at guys twice myself.

I've been called a bully a couple of times in my adult life. I don't quite see it, I just think they were being overly sensitive.

Well, after a long hiatus I've come back for a visit! Haven't really been around here since the old forums went away but it looks like a lot of the usual suspects are still around, and a ton of new people too! So my wife bought me an Amazing Adult Fantasy #13 for Christmas (first comic purchase in a couple of years, I'll try and remember to get a pic of it when I get home) and it reminded me of the fun discussions we used to have over here. LONDON - International hotel chain Holiday Inn is offering a trial human bed-warming service at three hotels in Britain this month.

If requested, a willing staff-member at two of the chain's London hotels and one in the northern English city of Manchester will dress in an all-in-one fleece sleeper suit before slipping between the sheets.

"The new Holiday Inn bed warmers service is a bit like having a giant hot water bottle in your bed," Holiday Inn spokeswoman Jane Bednall said in an e-mailed statement.

The bed-warmer is equipped with a thermometer to measure the bed's required temperature of 20 degrees Celsius (68 Fahrenheit).

Holiday Inn said the warmer would be fully dressed and leave the bed before the guest occupied it. They could not confirm if the warmer would shower first, but said hair would be covered.

Florence Eavis, Holiday Inn spokeswoman told Reuters that the "innovative" bed-warming method was a response to Britain's recent cold weather and marked the launch of 3,200 new Holiday Inns worldwide.

She could not explain why the beds were not being warmed by hot water bottles or electric-blankets, but admitted the human method was quirky.

Holiday Inn are promoting the service with the help of sleep-expert Chris Idzikowski, director of the Edinburgh Sleep Center, who said the idea could help people sleep.

"There's plenty of scientific evidence to show that sleep starts at the beginning of the night when body temperature starts to drop," he said. "A warm bed — approximately 20 to 24 Celsius — is a good way to start this process whereas a cold bed would inhibit sleep."

Bit of a problem..It's about customs

Bit of a story but i could use some advice..

Australia now has Click and Ship for international packages..WOO-HOOOO! Finally the stepped their game up.

However, I've got a slight issue.

I went to the post office to pay the cost of the package plus I had my 'click and ship' forms with me as the office woman had to use them.

I told her I needed them placed in a plasic sleeve on the front of the box...She refused to do it and MADE me write down the postal address on the front. I re-told her that I needed to place the plastic sleeve with the print outs on the front..Again she wouldn't allow it.

She then takes my forms and TAPES (no plastic slip) them onto the back of the package (before I even notice). Quickly staples the recipt to my Senders copy and I leave.

Now hours later (had a busy day) I notice that damned woman FORGOT to take the CUSTOMS copy.

So I quickly ring my postal service tell them of the problem....They've had trouble locating the package...Figured it's shipped out to the main postal plant..Guy from the postal plant rings me..Tells me can't find it and he'll call again...This was like 3 hours ago...No call..Now it's 9pm.

You're instructed on Auspost to put THREE forms in the plastic slip..The woman only include two (minus the plastic sleeve slip as well).

Does anyone know if this package will still make it fine even with the Customs copy missing?

I'm still a little in shock by this. I pre-ordered some comics from a website earlier in the month, and last night as I was going over my bills, money going in, coming out..etc. I realized that the money won't going to be there when they processed that pre-order. I went to the site to find a phone number to call and see if I could get them to push it back a couple days so the money would be there and couldn't find a number, just a page to send them a email. I thought, "Great! Holiday weekend and it's after 10 now...nobody is going to read this." But I filled the email form out and explained my problem anyway.

I check my email about 20 minutes later, and there's a email from them, sent from a real person telling me they'd pushed it back a week so I'd have plenty of time to be sure the money was there. I checked my account on the site and sure enough the scheduled date the order was to be processed had been changed and pushed back a week. I honestly came close to passing out. lol Dang, just when I'd lost all faith in humanity too. :D
