i just can't get the stuff i want...i guess i'm wanting the same stuff that certain people want..

Pretty much! Usually when someone opens a dispute the buyer/seller will atleast respond to it in some manner even if it's outside of the dispute but nothing from them.

Oh to add onto this..

I filed an 'Unpaid Item dispute' because nothing was happening...They haven't responded back to either 'Unpaid Item disputes' as he bought two comics from me. However, they finally paid but still no appologies for paying late or anything of the such. I just think it's very rude to be like that.

I'm having trouble getting a response from them. I have sent requests daily since the items ended, and no answer. All the 20 items I have add up to $25 and change, but when I try to pay. the shipping is almost $70. I can't edit the charges myself.

I noticed some recent negative feedbacks stating bad communication.

It would be nice to figure out a way of what percentage of shill bidding goes on. I got burned twice by the same guy, he ended up getting booted off of ebay. I ended up keeping the comics, the price wasnt too high even with the shill bidding.

I'm sure ebay has ways to do database runs and check on certain ebay ID's that bid on certain items from the same ebay IDs.

I am certain there is a fair amount of shill bidding on ebay, and the thing is, ebay doesnt care about it at all, because it drives up their percentage cut. They make a big to do about TALKING about preventing it, but they do not, as it would take money out of their pockets. Really? Where do you get this info from? I've gotten a couple things from them in the past and I never had any problems with them. But it was just one or two auctions.

Y'know, I've always wondered about shill bidding (that's where the seller or friend of the seller or whatever adds a couple bids to jack up the the price right?). You'd think that sort of thing would be rampant. Why don't sellers just do it all the time? If they accidentally put in the highest bid themselves, they can just contact the real high bidder and say "the other guy" flaked out. I'm surprised it doesn't happen all the time.

I've had nearly the exact experience. Bought an ASM #95 listed at VG+ and an ASM 98 listed as Fine Plus. Slow in shipping. When they arrived 3 days ago the #95 was as described. The #98 had a water stain on back, small piece of the back cover corner missing, and creased. Not a Fine plus. I e-mailed him stating such. He issed a refund and told me to keep the comic.

Beware of varying shipping prices between what is stated in text of auction and actual shipping price listed. Most auctions require immediate payment so you can be sure that $$$ is probably not going to be refunded.

pennsway - they seem to over grade their older comics..New comics they are fine..But they also overcharge for shipping and handling.
