It doesn't flake now but who knows what time will tell. On a annual bound comic the cover isn't stapled to the pages, rather it is glued at the spine so where I did it should be a perfect spot. As far as grip Methel Celulose is an adhesive so that should cover grip issues. MC is plyable so I think that helps with the flaking potential.

I used a spatula to apply it and smoothed it before it dried so it seems smooth. If it did leave a rough surface, 2000 grit should do the trick.

I have been experimenting with different mending tissue's on paper issue's ranging from tears to piece fill for some time now and I am still working on that but what I wanted to show today is something new I just tried. Instead of filling an area with Jap paper I made a paste consisting of Cellulose powder, Methyl Cellulose gel and Calcium carbonate and filled the hole on the side of this Annual bound comic. Sorry for the blur, this sony 10 mega really blows chunks.
