i think everybody that collected comics then did too! at least in hawaii, the big guys in hi.

was jelly's comics and bks..i really can't tell how much they ordered but i personally carted

over 100 cases of the 1st iss no kidding! we made what the workers call the spawn wall

man,collectors were buying them by the cs! the local news came down to film it ! it was a big event, and you what i remember most? they sold it all...except for 400 copies -2cases

which they kept...till they got bought out in 96?97? something like that..sell it for what you can,because you missed the boat already...the #4 is kind of interesting..only because

of that darn coupon...i guess it doesn't matter now...i still love spawn! anybody ever met

mcfarlane? his wife is HOT! well at the time..is he still married? ahhh well,a lot of people

me included helped him buy that baseball for a million $$$ at least i like his art better than liefield can't even spell his name right! to me that was the good old days !!

But yeah. Not surprising.

And btw, that game MacFarlanes Evil Prophecy for PS2? Horrible.

Sadly I did really enjoy the movie.

haha..my LCS has two Signed Mcfarlene # 1's hanging on their wall. No one ever buys them...lol.

My number 1 is signed by MacFarlane. Too bad I doubt it's gonna make a difference. I have kept track of issue #1's price for years and it's only gone down.

When I got up there they ended up actually only offering 5 bucks for all 4 copies... even though on the phone the guy I talked to claimed 10 for the first and a few for the others but he wasn't working there today. I was like oh HELL NAH not worth it. I would rather have them sitting around to look at then get just 5 bucks for all 4... 1.25 each just isn't worth it. I think I almost wasted as much in gas... LOL oh well it happens. Maybe just MAYBE if I hang on to them for a lot longer they could possibly go up but probably the worlds gonna end by then... LOL

If the value is fifteen and you've found a store that'll give you ten, you hit the jackpot. I've never found a comic store that'd offer me 66% of the going value for anything. It's usually more like 33% to 25%.

Oh man, the 1997 movie was awful. As far as the comic values go, #1 NM has been floating somewhere around 15 bucks for the last 8 years or so. I can't see it ever getting over maybe 40.

Yeah I guess you guys are right. There are way too many of these comic books all over the place so the value probably won't go up for a long long time. But yeah if a new movie comes out and smashes the box office then maybe... but I guess I'm gonna run up to DNA Comics tomorrow and sell these. Oh yeah I also got the 4 Spawn: WildC.A.T.S comics that I want to sell but from the looks of it those probably won't go for much if any at all. All are in very good condition though so if they do want to buy these 4 also I know for sure they would. Is the Spawn: WildC.A.T.S worth anything? DNA Comics is unsure about those 4, they told me to just bring them up for them to see. Don't have the time now.

If someone is offering you any money now for them, take it.

They aren't likely to increase much at all and the rate of return is so incredibly low on those books you'll never see much more profit.

You'd be better off giving them to a kid that need some interest in something besides video games.

I bet there won't be much difference in value between 16 years and 20 years. Maybe 40 years will make a difference, but 16 to 20 doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

Now if a big time Spawn movie comes out any time soon, you could see prices rise some. I have no idea about plans for a Spawn movie though, was there one already a while back?

Alright I still got these 16 year old comic books from way back when I was a little kid. I know the value of these is not very high because the fact that so many copies were made and so many people bought them so that means lots of copies are floating all around. Right now DNA Comics will pay me 10 bucks for the first copy, a few for the 2nd and 3rd, and they said the 4th is worth a little more. These are all in near mint condition because I've only opened them once to read then stuck them right back in the plastic case. What I would like to know is how fast will the value of these comics go up? Right now they are pretty valueless and I feel like if I sell them now it would be such a waste. If I hold on to these for another say 4 years in the near perfect condition they are in how much would the value increase?
