You've got a pretty nice collection going. I always think about reading Y the Last Man series just keep forgetting to pick up the trade format.

A 9.4 is a little lower than what I wanted, but seeing some of the prices out there, I didn't want to pay that much for a higher graded one. A friend of mine has a brother who is moving and wanted to get rid of some of his stuff. He had duplicates of 15 so he sold me the lower graded one for $100 and threw in a few other books. I'm glad I knew him, though, because there's no telling what he would have wanted for it otherwise.[/quote]

Well, I finally pulled the trigger and bought Miracleman 15. I had talked to a guy who wanted over 300 for a raw copy, but I wasn't having any of that. I finally found a copy that was reasonable. It's a CGC 9.4, and I paid half of what the other guy wanted. I'm pretty sure the raw copy wouldn't have even graded that high.

Also, after seeing some of the sales of Walking Dead 1, it's getting harder and harder for me to hold onto it. I just think about all the DD stuff I could buy if I sold it. Even number 2 is pulling in crazy amounts.

I haven't bought a whole lot of books, but my LCS had a sale a few weeks ago on all of his back issues for $.50 or $.25 if you get a 100. I mostly filled some gaps in my Lucifer series as well as picking up a few Fables, Jack of Fables and Runaways. You can't really go wrong with getting 100 books for $25.

Ex Machina 1 was a pretty good read, strong characters & sharp dialogue. I haven't stumbled across any other issues 2-10 yet, so that's as far as I've gone with this title, but it's on my 'someday' list.

For a film that only cost $15,000 to make I was pretty surprised at what it has accomplished. Of course, I'm a production major and would like to get into the film industry, so I like an underdog story which it really is with raking in $86,944,269. A Good deal is getting a book that you are happy with at a price that you are comfortable paying. I paid $140.00 for my Walking Dead #1 and I was real uncomfortable with it. I sold it a month later for $160.00 and it made me feel a bit more comfortable.

That MTU #141 is pretty sweet. Congrats. :cool:

Today I went down to Houston to do some shopping and decided to see what books I could pick up. Here's what I got:

I paid a pretty penny for this one, but there's one on eBay over $200 right now. I didn't pay that much, but it was still a little hard handing the card over.

I haven't been doing a lot of buying lately because moneys been a little tight, and I figured my apartment was a little more important than comic books, but I did manage a few purchases today.

I picked up Y the Last Man 14, 39, 42, 43 and 44. That brings the remaining issues I need to get down to six.
