I still have some parts that I need to order. But the only place that carries them is online and located out in CA. I then have to take it back to the body shop so he can buff the clearcoat finish again. After that I'm going to be hitting it with some custom decals. It's a long work in progress, but I will keep the pictures coming just as long as I don't missplace the camera again. ;)
RE: (B3P) bobafettesb's bargain bin purchases.
You didn't leave it did you?

Did you use it much during your excursion Cedar Point?

TEX

RE: (B3P) bobafettesb's bargain bin purchases.
texranger37 (10/24/2009)
It's where it always is,

The last place that you left it! That was much easier on the eyes than inside this store. This place was just like night and day between the two different types of merchandise. You could pretty much draw a line down the middle of the store. To the left you have the comic book section. To the right is your TCG section.

The comic section was dimly lit and had very little selection. The owner came up to me (after walking around for about 10 minutes already) and told me that they only keep the books on the shelfs until the next issue comes out. They then take what issues are left, put them in a bag, and add at least another quarter to the book. :dontknow: This just doesn't make any sense to me. If it didn't sell four weeks ago, why would it sell after you jack the price up? The TPB selection was weak also. Had very few to select from and they were all over the place. Most of them were knocked over and just laying where they fell. Not a single back issue had a backing board in it either.

The TCG section, however, was the total opposite of the comic book section. This side of the store was completely organized, very well lit, had nice display cases, and a back wall just stock full of all kinds of supplies. You could tell that they prided themselves in their TCG selection. This is also where the three customers in the store were "hanging out" at. The other 4 people in the store were kids. They were all gathered around the two TVs playing video games. Not really sure how this is supposed to help business either. :dontknow: It just seems like they were just wasting the store's electricity and taking up space. They all seemed to quite down when I walked by them with my g/f. I thought about saying, "Yes! This is what a woman looks like." But I kept to myself.
This is exactly what I thought it might be like when I saw the website you posted ... but month old moderns for a quarter more then cover price is way over the top.

Here's a bonus "visual graphic" of bobafettesb after he left that "comic" store:

Congrats. on the antique store finds.

How bad could it be? ;)
How bad indeed?

I don't think that it could have been any worse if they tried. This store was pretty much just a waste of my time. I give it a 1 out of 5 stars. DeadOne, could you help me with the "visual graphics" here? lol The only thing that I took away from this experience is the walk I shared with my g/f along the old waterfront district.

As long as the weather holds up, it's supposed to be sunny with a high in the 60s. I'm OK with that. That's perfect weather to be riding roller coasters all day.

On a side note......I found a LCS that's really close to where we're staying. I wasn't able to make it there last night (pretty tired from the drive). I think that I may have convinced my g/f to let us leave the park for a couple of hours to get some lunch and possibly check the store out. Here's a link to their website: http://www.theherozone.com/comics/index.html. The series is notable for its emphasis on action, adventure, horror, and plot twists rather than realism or scientific detail; Remender claims in the first issue that "science fiction has lost its stones" and that Fear Agent is his attempt to fight that trend.
