I cant wait till blackest night !
Batman.
Trinity....started off kinda of lame, but it's hitting it's pace. You all can diss 2.99 a week, but this book,in this day of age, lives up to it. This weekly beats half of the crappy monthly's out of the water.
and then Any book in the Batman R.I.P storyline of course.

Robin was even good this week, for the batman R.I.P. stuff..and Robin usually sucks..heh

RE: Favorite series from the Modern Age?

punisher (MAX version)
The Red Star
Batgirl(2000)
Conan(dark horse)
Kingdom Come
Meridan(crossgen)
Negation(crossgen)
and a few more I can't think of at this time.

RE: Favorite series from the Modern Age?

I forgot to mention Batman and Detective, both really good lately.

100 Bullets is a must read and a classic in the making.

RE: Favorite series from the Modern Age?

Silver Surfer Vol.3

anything with Mephisto in it.

RE: Favorite series from the Modern Age?

It was Amazing Spider-Man, but it turns out those stories never happened, so I guess I didn't read them.

I thought Tales From The Bog was awesome.

And Cerebus (except for the last several years).

RE: Favorite series from the Modern Age?

Red Sonja is pretty good. It's well written, nicely drawn with a cameo from Gary Panter's brush, and I'm hoping it concludes well. Glad I didn't wait for the TPB.

RE: Favorite series from the Modern Age?

Witchblade

RE: Favorite series from the Modern Age?

I like the Fantastic Four Franklin Richards series and the Stan Lee meets series.

RE: Favorite series from the Modern Age?

Akira

several Vertigo titles

All Star Superman

the usual suspects (Watchmen, Dark Knight return, Miracleman...)

I really loved Infinite Crisis

and many more

Favorite series from the Modern Age?

What series from the modern age do you collect or it's your guilty pleasure? No bashing about how all modern comics suck please..If you want to do that make another thread.

For me i'd have to be Sonic The Hedgehog...It's really interesting to see how the comic has changed from the first issue to the current one...It's gone through some major changes...Sometimes I miss the old style as it's become more indepth and IF you miss one issue you can't read the one after it because you've missed too much. The comic itself has certainly gone through some low points and I just read it and paid no attention to the artwork but STH has many different artists all the time SO it is interesting to see what people can bring to the table artist wise.
