Hello All,

I am just reporting back on this situation. There is a sticker on this book. Shame, it is really in great condition and it was a steal. That sticker is really on there though. I do not think I will take the risk of removing it. It looks like an accident just waiting to happen (and if it can happen, it'll probably happen to me). Thaks for everything gents.

Thank you so much for the information! I never would have thought of using lighter fluid to remove the sticker. Mr. Harvest, should I decide to try and remove the sticker, I will do my utmost to be careful. Mr. Ringfinger, I agree with you, it does look like a sticker. The use of heat, the hairdryer method, seems safest to me. How about you all? What have you gentlemen (and/ or ladies, lest we give offence) learned about removing date stamps and/or marker drawings from comics? My beloved Showcase #22 is stamped "Sold" three times, and finally a fourth time with the date of September 16, 1959. Should I even try to remove it? What do you think? I thank everyone again. I am learning a great deal from you all. Thank you. :discuss:

Great thread. You just have to be careful when removing, too much fluid and you have a bigger issue.

Mr. Davis,

Upon second look, I think that you may be correct. It just might be a price sticker; it is in a perfectly round circle, and the color is distinctly different from the rest of the comic. I say, if that is a sticker, how am I going to remove that? It may just be better to leave it attached. Well, thanks. I welcome any other ideas. Good day.

No, I have not received the comic yet. Hmmm. You make a good point, it may be a sticker. I had not given that thought. I blew up the picture after reading your post, and it did not look like it to me. I guess I have to wait and see. I had been searching for Green Lantern #7 and #40 in decent conditions to help complete my collection, both of which I actually purchased over the weekend. I was so happy I did not notice the variation in the price until after I had sent payment (I was almost positive that GL vol 2 #40 had no reprints floating about). I thank everyone for your help, and your taking time to read and reply to my inquiry.
