I dont think any member on here would scorn a new collector. A douche attempting to get TOP DOLLOR will always be subject to ridicule. Beside its just part of the CPG initiation/gantlet.

Guess ya got to remember everyone had to start as a n00b when it came to comics...Most likely you thought you had a GEM comic to when you didn't know anything about grading.

But to me this is like any type of 'culture' people always give others a hard time when someone is new...not saying it's alright or okay but it just seems to happen especially on the internet where we are all faceless.

Hey if i were a grown up....then i would have to stop collecting funny books...and wheel and deal like King....but i r not the old man he is yet....
on a side note....king is very young looking for a 70yr old crochety old man...

Also there is a variant of Planet Terry #1 that has a game board on it....that was worth some coin also.....Muppet Babies also sell very well.....

Star Comics get the short end of the stick just cause they were based on crudy cartoons from the 80s and Harvey Comics rip off characters....but they were some fun reads....and i grew up on those crudy cartoons :).......

and I agree.....the board has become very....angry since the change over....everyone is looking to bite someones head off.....change for the worse..:(

I agree that the board isnt very welcoming to "outsiders" and their questions about comics. But on the flip side, we LOVE comics. We don't try to make a profit off comics unless your King, and thats fine cuz he is a dealer... and he loves comics, he makes a living off that.

But the vast majority of us loes comics to part with them, so when a person comes with their question about Darker Image #1 in GEM MINT condition asking how much they think they can get for it and the sarcasm comes, its almost....almost completely justified imo.

No, not you argus, your always very informative when it comes to helping out people. Twas the others, good job on the advice, some of those Star Comics are actually valuable, much more so than the majority of comics released at the time.

I just saw that you edited my post, that must of have been fun for you! :(

How Sweet. Your best bet if you are intent on selling them is to watch similar auctions on ebay and get a feel for what you are in for. Unfortunately for you argus is right. It would probably make your heart feel better than giving granny $5 or $10 bucks if you would just donate them. Try a children's ward at a local hospital.

and when you see someone say "top dollor"...head for cover. It's never good around here for newbies who need help selling.

With what you listed, you could sell as one lot on eBay and maybe get $10-15 dollars for them.

You'd be better off just giving them to a kid who might want to read them.

Hello everyone, I hope someone out there can help me with my selling issue. I am trying to help out my grandma in selling her un-used GREAT condition comic books, but when I look on ebay how to sell them they have a huge range, some selling individually and others as groups. I have (stars): 14 Ewoks issues, 6 Get Along Gang, 27 Muppet Babies issues, and 20 Care Bears issues. I don't even know where to begin! Thanks
