We're nearly done with the original 397-432 multipack reprints now, I think it's just the 415 ( 4th & 5th printings ) & 418-420 multipack ( reprints? ) to be resolved now isn't it?

Found the elusive Batman 410-2nd print. Possibly just possibly this could be a 4th printing if we ever find a second print multi-pack indicia but more then likely, this is the second. Looks the same as the third print from the outside. Indicia is the difference.

Found another Collector's set:

Batman's Greatest Foes

Four issues: Batman Annual 13, Catwoman Annual 2, Detective Comics Annual 8, plus LOTDK 50. Also comes with a CD single from the Batman Forever Soundtrack. I have not opened this to see if the Annual is a second print.

Take a look at Bats 420. For some reason, I think there may be 2nd and 3rd prints of this yet I do not have it reflected in the master list. Anyone have one to verify?

One other thing..

and may be obvious to all but not sure I can figure out, at least just from the picture, is the difference between say a newstand(UPC barcode) second print and just a newstand first print. Pretty sure the barcode would be different but that would also assume you would have both to compare. Any thoughts? Specifically, Bats 410 2nd print.:unsure:

Not sure I know the story here other then to add the obvious; these books are also from 1983 with the exception of one being late 82.

What's the story on these Canadian price variants? I don't have any BATMAN, but I have a string of JUSTICE LEAGUE of AMERICA 75 cent Canadian price variants from 1983 (US price was 60 cents at the time) and also a set of 95 cent Canadian price variants from 1984 (the US versions were then 75 cents). The only real curiosity is the cover of JLA #218 which has a redraw of #217 (the previous issue) in the background. The redraw shows a cover price of 60 cents on both the US and the Canadian versions. I know, I know...talk about minutia.

Doug Sulipa is pretty well versed on these Canadian price variants ( I think he discusses these, but not in great detail, in recent issues of Overstreet). He says that these variants (due to their lower print run - - Hey, sorry, Canada, but the US is just plain bigger!) may bring up to a 50% premium in value. I'm not certain if he is referring to these more recent issues or the ones from back in the 40's and 50's.

Lets carry this one over:

A)Batman 410 second print. Does anyone have it? I have the first and third. No clue what the second looks like.

B) Batman 415 and 416. We have identified what we believe is either the 4th or 5th printing. Anyone have both to validate?

C) We believe that there are second printings of 418-420. We know that the multi packs used the newstand barode for that particular pack. Also, I have seen a 420 with the batsymbol in the UPC box and just the US price. Leads me to believe 3 printings for 420.
