I finally got in a DVD edition Snake Plissken.

On a whim, I bid 99 cents on a French Canadian edition of the special edition. At worst, I would get an English version....but I thought, who knows?, maybe the mini-comic would be in French so we would have a new issue to put in.

As it turns out, it is in English.....but I needed the comic anyway. :D

Got 3 in the bunch I got from Lonestar. They were half cover, which is the same discount as I usually find them at.

They were doing that under a dollar thing, and they apparently had gotten a bunch more available so I just went for it. Got to my free shipping and out the door!

And as an added bonus, only about a third of the NMs I ordered were 8.5s. Which is a better ratio than I usually get from them.

Sweet. That's a pretty decent jump. I have been frustrated at not being able to pick up more of the trades at low, low prices. I don't know if I will ever complete this publisher now but I would like to at least get over the 600 issues marker.

I found a 'tell' for the 2nd print Meridian Traveller....the lettering on the spine is in yellow...it is orange on the first print. They actually redid the spine on that one...changed size of font on the 'Crossgen', too.

Of course, you could just look in the indicia I suppose....but having a tell seems so much more UG. :P

I did go ahead and look at my other 1st/2nd prints of other full size tpbs....they are the same as each other.

I have a bunch of new CG's to put in, but haven't done it yet.

However, I did manage to find the 2nd print Meridian Traveler #1. I'll have to add it to the DB later.

It did get me thinking, however.

I wonder if the 2nd print of Meridian TPB 1 was actually because someone had the 2nd print of the traveler?

I know I have replaced a few of the tpb scans because the traveler edition scans were in the wrong place.

Just a thought.

Be nice if Ronnie would check back in, he may very well know if the 2nd print Meridian really does exist.

It was an incredible bit of luck that I found it.

It was in the back issue bins at my LCS, ones I had been through hundreds of times before. The owner had pulled pretty much all the Crossgen (mostly for me ;) ) out of there, and I hadn't even looked for any CG books for months.

I was bored, just started flipping through and ran across it. Apparently he had pulled a bunch of long boxes out of storage.

So, I will have to keep an eye out from now on.

Just the one as far as we know. The Ruse TPB was actually my intro to Crossgen. We have been refining the Crossgen checklist since 2004. You can see the discussions that lead to it on the old CPG forms at..

Just an update...

The "Library Editions" have unique ISBN's (Or International Standard Book Numbers)...which means they are authentic seperate editions...but limited to libraries only. Confirmed this with some manga books I picked up at the local Library Sale that had regualr and "LE" copies of the same books...

Still trying to get word through an old girlfriend who is a State Librarian, to see if she can get me a contact with the company that is doing these. If successful I will have a complete list of what they've "hardbound"...:D...as long as the wife doesn't mind me talking to an old girlfriend...:hmmmm:
