I picked up my first one last year when I traded a couple of hundred of my doubles for some random comics and one of the East Coast Comix reprints was in the pile I received. I just added 2 more to my collection in an order I put in with mycomicshop.com.

Earl.

RE: East Coast Comix Collections

I don't know why, but the East Coast run is my favorite of the EC reprints. I especially like how they reverted back to the Crypt of Terror title for their first reprint, which was the last issue of Tales From The Crypt, if I remember correctly. The comics are also wider than the later reprints and this is noticible in the amount of white space at the bottom of the pages. They came out when I was beginning my quest for EC and so they make me think about being a 12 year old and discovering the greatness of EC, so it's certainly a nostalgic trip for me. Good luck, Earl, in completing the set. They used to be pretty easy to find but who knows, these days. I haven't looked for them in 30 years but do see them from time to time in boxes at comic conventions. Did they get distributed in the UK? At the time they came out it must have been hard to find them over there, I would think.

RE: East Coast Comix Collections

Congrats, Earl.

I've noticed how confusing it is trying to find the EC books/reprints because of the different publishers and how they combined issues together.

RE: East Coast Comix Collections

I have recently started to collect a mid grade run of these 1970's EC reprints.
