I read them all the way to the end. Nightwing really stood alone very well, and his abilities grew during that series. He built up his own mystique, while becoming somewhat more like the Bat. I think you'll enjoy them.

TEX

RE: Batman and Robin #1

First arc finished and i thought it was very good. i second the worries that the new batman might not be as much of a detective but we'll have to see.
Also, I quite like Dick Grayson as a character, are the Nightwing comics any good?
*edit*
I know it's my avatar, i just thought it looked cool

RE: Batman and Robin #1

#2 is much better than #1,

There's more story. I am wondering how Dick and Damian are gonna work together. I normally cant stand Morrison's stuff, RIP was quite awful. But after #1 I thought maybe Morrison was onto a winner. Fast forward to #2 and it's confusing as ever again. There's a chance to build Damian's character, which I think should be explored as he's probably the most annoying character in comics.
I'm npt pverly struck on Quitely's artwork either, did he ever do any work on Rogue Trooper in 2000AD? For info on Damian pick up issues #663-#683 which includes th 'Son Of Batman' storyline through to RIP.
Really? I enjoyed it and was able to follow it quite easily, and I haven't even read any R.I.P stuff. What exactly was confusing, in your opinion. I'm not normally a fan of Grant Morrison. I haven't been able to get into his stuff since his run on the JLA ended. This issue gave me hope that he's still a writer I can enjoy.

I thought the new tech was outstanding, and it really fit Dick Grayson's personality (especially the parachute capes - not to be confused with parachute pants).

Issue 2 looks just as good and I'm on board for the entire run.

RE: Batman and Robin #1
ghostriderrules (6/11/2009)
I haven't followed DC alot but I pickedup issue #1and jut finished reading it. I don't have a clue on what's going on with what happened to Bruce, what Battle for the Cowl was, who Nightwing is, and who Damian is. But I didn't fel overwhelmed and was able to get the gist of what happened previously.
Damian is Bruce Waynes son from Ra's al Ghul daughter, Talia. He was going to be used by Ra's al Ghul's right hand man to use him as a "new body" for Ra's al Ghul but Damian and his mother had other ideas...See past issues of Robin or Batman for this story line. I can't remember which.... I think it was in Robin before it was cancelled.

At least this is who I think he is without reading the issue. Still waiting for it to get delivered. In Robin he was a spoiled little brat that always wanted to prove to Batman that he was worthy and was highly trained by Talia in martial arts.

RE: Batman and Robin #1

I haven't followed DC alot but I picked up issue #1 and jut finished reading it. But I guess Dick's personality will show thru in some way; he's got to be Batman his way. Damian reminds me of Tim Drake. He's rebellious, but maybe Dick will get thru to him and they will become the greatest team ever.

Is Dick as good a fighter as Bruce? He's supposed to have greater physical prowess I think. I don't think he's as smart either, and that worries me plenty because Batman is first and foremost a detective. What do you guys think?

TEX

RE: Batman and Robin #1

I LOVED it....

Batman and Robin #1

I picked it up because I'm a sucker for Quitely art. I haven't read any of the RIP books, but I've read some recent Batman here and there so i have a basic idea of what's going on.

I enjoyed it,but not really sure if it's something I would continue to get. Anyone have any opinions on this one?
