just saw this thread and better late than never. Loved the Krypto storyline! Made me remember why I love comics. Cheer on the "underdog", root for the good over evil. Besides being a huge animal lover this was a great read. I really liked the part when Lois realized just how much Krypto meant to Superman and how much Superman meant to Krypto. Great writing and artwork painted a stellar story.

After the last three issues of Superman.. Krypto is awesome. The last page of 679 was one of my favorites. And 680 where he sfights and fights and fights, and is a true hero And then 681 where you shows up to look after Ma.

But , of course I am a sucker for a boy and his dog story.

I'm still holding out hope for Busiek's Krypto story, though with him leaving [i]Superman[/i] it will be more difficult.

always dug the Krypto stories...there was supposed to be a last one..but for some reason it wasn't printed in AC...And that really ticked me off, because it was supposed to tell what happened to him in the last Crisis..

Well as the "BatFan" I see why! :)
But Krypto actually had stories based around him, with Superboy, long before they did the same for "Ace".
Plus I kinda like the more "outta control" Krypto of the 1950's. Where Superboy would have to keep Krypto chained up on a distant planet so he would destroy stuff! :D

Even though Comet is the least appealing of the Super Pets thats not fair. He'd want another horse, not supergirl!

Yes, indeedy. The DCU is full of odball animal characters. I would link you to Wikipedia's page but the board keeps telling me I can't "post only HTML, Images, etc" for some reason, even though I'm including a message.

Anyway, just search Comet (DC Comics) on wikipedia.
