Just sat down and read Trinity #1, last night. Didn't think it was too bad? Looks like it may turn out to be a pretty good weely series. Hopefuly, it doesn't start off big and fizzle out like 52 and Countdown did in the first 10 issues.

Final Crisis Rogues Revenge

OK....first Requiem last week was good....and now Rogues Revenge another tie-in thats an awsome read...........it was a great issue.....as i said before...many times...and i will say again...many times......the tie-ins are kicking the crap out of the main event....and its sad...........
The Art and the way the story was told made what was presented seem beliveable.....even though after getting to the last pagesplash at the end......i was kinda bummed by the way the story is gonna go....im still looking forward to next issue.

The Jist of the book:
Rouges go home.............beat on some kids in the hideout that are the NEW Tricksters gang...tell trickster they are going to retire...since they have broken the unwritten rule of the Rouges...
Intertia gets set free...Kills some cops.....very brutal....
Inertia decides to kill Wally's Kids.....then...
Zoom burst on the scene.......and proceeds to tell him that hes going to be the new kid flash........*TWIST*

This is how a hero dies....not some lame pannel burried in a book.
I have never cared for Martian Manhunter as he is always written as a 2nd rate Character....IMO....but this made his death mean something....
The Death in Final Crisis Made it look as if he was put down like a stray dog with no fight whatsoever..........this changed my opinion of his death.....and how it should have been presented.....Awsome Awsome read....i still dont care for the back and forth being done in FC...No matter how many times you try to explain its [b]bad[/b] presentation :)...but FCR is a must read...

Final Crisis Thoughts and Impressions

So.... any thoughts on Issue #1 of Final Crisis? All I can say is Wow...... I was simply blown away by the issue..... blown away by how lousy it was. I seriously almost quit reading the issue twice I was so bored with it. For a "Major Universe Changing Event" I was SERIOUSLY Unimpressed. I know that first issues don't usually do a whole lot, but come on... this issue barely had any hero's let alone any reason for me to continue reading.

Maybe I'm being to harsh, but after how great Indentity Crisis was, and how decent Infinite Crisis was, I expected better from Final Crisis. The slow lack luster story added to the unimpressive art (at least when compared to Identity/Infinite Crisis) has me seriously considering dropping the story. Heck the only real reason to read the first issue occurrs on the very last page, which for now I'll not mention, but even the way that was handled seemed poor. What should have been the major point of the first issue was instead given 2-3 panels and rushed over on the last page.

Sorry DC, but you just keep pushing me farther and farther back into my Marvel territory. A few years ago I was buying almost as many DC books as Marvels... now I'm down to the Quaterly at best, All Star Batman, and the Amazing Green Lantern book which seems to get better with each arc.

So am I alone in my thoughts, or were others as unimpressed as I was? All I have to say is that if Barry Allens return in issue #2 is the big moment of this story... I'm dropping the book now.

Countdown to Infinite Crisis- Miniseries, read in what order?

Hello, I just received the 4 miniseries that countdown to infinite crisis, should I read them in the order they were released or one mini at a time? also, where do the specials, and the brave new world one-shot tie in? Also, I have the Sacrifice tie-in to omac, should that be read at the same time as OMAc? thanks.

Fables TPB-new story

Wasn't I surprised to see a new text only story by Willingham that answers a couple of questions about Snow meeting Bigsby for the first time. I'm pretty excited to see this book coming out this week. I like Mike Kunkel's work from "hero bear and kid", and to see a 2.25 price tag on makes it an even better buy. That being said I know it's part of the "Johnny DC" line so it's being marketed towards kids, so what? I think i'll enjoy the lighthearted read, maybe to offset Final Crisis. Anybody else on board with me and think this will be a comic they won't miss?

The Titans Companion Vol. 2 is out and is incredible and chock full of interviews. I suggest every Teen Titans pick it up and get the first volume from Twomorrows. There are interviews in this volume with all the creators of the modern age Teen Titans/Titans, including the stable of talent writing and drawing the current runs of Teen Titans and Titans.

How many people here pick up the Twomorrows publications like Back Issue, Jack Kirby Collector, Alter Ego, Rough Stuff, Draw! and Write Now!?

If you're like me and love to read interviews with your favorite creators, these magazines and companions are the best.

I first became aquainted with Twomorrows by reading the Jack Kirby Collector early on, then I loved Comic Book Artist when it was still published by Twomorrows (I think it changed a bit when it went to another publisher). Then, I started reading Back Issue, because it focuses on comics from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, which is my golden age of collecting. Alter Ego does a good job telling me all I want to know about the Golden Age (not mine, the REAL Golden Age). Rough Stuff deals with pencils, Draw! teaches readers how to draw and Write Now talks about the craft of writing comic book stories.

I may be a little biased, because I write for Back Issue and Rough Stuff and am helping out with the Justice League of America Vol. 2 Companion (JLA Detroit, baby!). But, I wanted to see if anyone else has picked up the Titans Vol. 2 companion and what do they think of it.

Teen Titan Titles...

With all the good and bad said about the current running Teen Titans title, I decided to look at the numbers. So far, the current title is the longest running title for the Teen Titans (without changing names.) Not counting annuals and special issues.

Teen Titans Vol.1 was a 53 issue run.

Teen Titans Vol.2- only 24 issues.

Teen Titans vol.3- 60 issues and counting

New Teen Titans Vol.1- 40 issues until it changed to Tales of the Teen Titans (only 50 more issues #41-91)

New Teen Titans Vol.2- 49 issues (Changed to The New Titans with 80 more issues (only exception) #50-130.)

Titans Vol.1-50 issues

Now, Dan Dido (in the latest DC Nation) is talking about making some changes and beefing up the Titans creative teams. Can't wait to see what becomes of this.

I have to say for the past 10 months this book has managed to worm its way into my heart. I am not a huge DC guy but this one beat out Marvels regularily in my what do I read next category. I had some fondness for the character already from the 80s but this really kept things interesting. When they brought back Ted Kord as the Beetle I was enjoying it even more. I think Blue Beetle in the 80s was a fun read, I liked the character and he was entertaining by being brought back. I really thought he was going to live on and take out the lame new Blue Beetle as a chance to give that book a new life. The current one seems pretty lame to me and has terrible numbers from what I've seen.

Anyway alas it was not to be and Ted took the honorable way out by offing himself at the end. That was a big of a dissapointment to me. Hopefully they can find a way for him to come back again sometime but I think anytime too soon is unlikely unless there's an outpouring of fan support. Guess we'll see where this book goes next.

This is a breath of fresh air for me. Teen Titans have been slowly spiraling down since OYL. To tell you the truth, I was starting to loose interest in the title. Its about time Dido put someone in charge of the TEEN TITANS title, that will clean house and bring the title back to life.

On the other hand, though, the new TITANS title looks like it's going to be really good. DC's bringing back the Wolfman/Perez team and starting them off on a sequel of one of my favorite NTT arcs: Terror of Trigon. I definitely recomened this title as a must read. At least for a while.

When I searched Catwoman, it showed a picture that looked like it was number 1.5 or 15 and indicated that it was issue #0. The comic I have shows "o" published in 1994.

OK, I had the same problem with Final Crisis and I have been reading Batman comics for over 10 years. But Did I miss the Origin of "Jet". Who is this character. Maybe she is part of the Black Hand. But, so far I do like the twist of the story.

So we all pretty much know everyones opinion on the main batman title..rather good or bad......but whats your opinion on this book?

I pick it up, and honestly..it feels like total filler to me issue after issue. BUT....It's really good filler, and I enjoy it. I especially enjoyed the latest issue. The art is really bad, seems computer generated..lol..but oh well...

but I was also wondering, cause I have never followed Detective or Action for that matter, but since they're not the main character books, are these books pretty much just filler books anyways?. Not following a certain plot throughout the year and just goes arc by arc?.

Still pretty well written though.

Legion of Three Worlds

Many of you, like me were not only waiting for Final Crisis but are waiting for the Legion of Three Worlds.

For those of you who can't wait, pick up Action #864. It is in many ways, an unannounced prelude and clearly a teaser for the book. I liked this book just for the set up and it leaves no doubt who has been toying with the Legion. It also addresses the fact that there have been three legions as Batman(yes, he co-stars in this book as well) talks about it.

If you are not normally a fan of Action Comics or do not normally buy it, but intend to pick up the aforementioned mini, dont overlook this book.

Brave and the Bold 13 is a swipe off of which classic cover?

GL's ring doesn't work with yellow right? (I'm not to sure if he still has this weakness, I'm not to current on GL) But since the Sun is yellow shouldn't GL not be able to use his ring anywhere within the vicinity of the Suns rays?

My take on it is that generally in DC the better titles are rising to the top. I'm glad to see Green Lantern where it is and I'm not surprised to see Flash absolutely tanking in its format of a family book. All in all it seems like DC could benefit from dropping some titles and adding some new ones. How about a Dr. Fate series? I'd buy that just for the cool helmet.
