Thats not even so much continuity to me. To me its just having the Marvel Universe live and breathe. What happens in one book should effect another if its major enough.

RE: What's with the continuity?

Look at this Cap cover, it has 1968 in it but with the way continuity is supposed to run this issue probably only happened 5 years ago according to Marvel time.

RE: What's with the continuity?

ROFLMAO

This topic has the best one-liners I think I've seen in a single thread. I'd be cut n' pasting my a$$ off if I tried to hit them all. Nice job everyone.

RE: What's with the continuity?

Fuj you rock! That really does nail what is going on with continuity. The only continuity you find are the writers who co write books together or do muliple titles. Its all over the map and there's no apologies coming from Quesada on it.

I swear the editor in chief's job is to manage the universe itself. So that when New York is destroying in World War hulk you at least get a reference to it in Daredevil for example. Or when the entire city turns into symbiote suits that it has some effect around the other titles. Its my single biggest beef but we have bitched about it all we can, it won't get better till Quesada is replaced and I don't see that happening any time soon unfortunately.

RE: What's with the continuity?

Marvel Blows.

RE: What's with the continuity?

I think that Fuj nailed it like a prom queen behind the football field bleachers. For all these 'writer's summits' I constantly find myself reading about in interviews, these guys have a hard time keeping continuity straight and tight. Granted, it's waaaaaaaaaaay better now than it was in the early/mid 90's.

RE: What's with the continuity?

There is 4 different continuities in 616 Marvel right now.

Millar

Bendis (along with Reed, and whoever is playing in Secret Invasion)

Brubaker (along with Fraction and people who ISN'T playing in Secret Invasion)

Spider-Man

RE: What's with the continuity?
ghostcap (7/3/2008)
How many titles does wolverine and cyclops have to be in?
Wait for it . . . . 70 cagillion. He should be in every comic!!!When I pick up a MArvel book and Wolverine isn't in it, I throw it right in the trash. If DC had any brains, they'd start putting Wolverine in their comics too.

What's with the continuity?

How many titles does wolverine and cyclops have to be in?
Wait for it . . . . 70 cagillion.
