I believe it to be more psychological then this. Gutting someone would just piss him off and make him go into a berserker rage.

I'm wondering if its just because all the heroes lost and he lost his will to keep on fighting or if its going to be something totally different.

it is obvious that they are not the originals. They probably don't even have powers. Just a few thugs that wanted to take over. Love the run, love the story, love the art. 'bout time this title was worth picking up again.

Yes lots of gore in this issue. I thought it was alright but to see how easy it was to kill one of the domain "heads" was pretty weak if you ask me. And I take it that Punisher/Daredevil were new guys and not the originals.

I read it.
I liked it.
I bagged it. :D

All in all....i thought it was solid.
Not as good as the first 2 issues...but im still on board....wont go into detail as its still fresh on the shelves..but i was kinda suprised by the ending and the bloodshed in the issue...pretty graphic....

So at some point Spiderman marries or knocks up some big black chick, hence Tonya (his youngest daughter) being big and black? The story is pretty good so far, liked seeing Thor's hammer being adored by the crowds.

I've enjoyed the future tale so far. The art really has been impressive.

As for the Spider-Man continuity question, I've given up on the concept of Spider-Man continuity so I can't help you there. Just tell yourself its MAGIC and all will be well.

So I picked up issue 67 today and read it on my lunch break. The "Ghost Riders" were pretty interesting. And there is still this mystery about why Wolvering refused to harm another human being. One thing that made no sense to me though, or maybe I read it wrong, was the fact that Hawkeye's third wife was Peter Parker's youngest daughter. Did I read that wrong? Ok, I always figured Hawkeye was older than Peter and then you tie in the fact that this is Peter's "youngest" daughter and then blend THAT together with the fact that in the regular Marvel Universe, Peter has already graduated college and (pre-brand new day) had a career as a school teacher. So you have to think he's at least in his 30's. Marvel may claim 20's, but either way, this would be a significant age difference between Hawkeye and Peter's "youngest" daughter. I suppose its possible they could be married, its just hard to grasp when you first read it.

Someone correct me if I read that wrong.

I really liked this issue. I know most comics have a cinematic feel to it, but this one seemed like it captured that feel a bit better than other comics I have read lately.

Also, I think the hurt worse than ever before comment may have something to do with his healing factor being permanently affected.

I'd kind of like to know how Hulk's kin became so ruthless.

First off, I am a time continuity freak as some of you know and Kree is right, Logan looks like he's younger than Hawkeye which would be impossible. Not to nitpick, but Logan looking younger than Hawkeye makes sense to me. He may have been born in the 1800s, but even now he only looks in his 30s(?) or so.Also, they said hurt "like no other time before". This doesn't necesarialy mean worse, or even physically, just different. They do say that his healing power has been affected in someway.

Oops you're right. I meant to say that with Wolverine looking as old as he does, Hawkeye should already have died of old age. BUT since that is set 50 years into the future Wolverine should look like he's in his late 40s. He looks like he's in his 60s or something. I'm assuming his healing factor has just slowed down due to his age, I think Logan can die a natural death but of course it should take him hundreds of years to do that.

One more point, what's the deal with Capt America's skull on the back cover with a bullet hole in his head?

supposedly his run coincides with millars run on ff and the mini 1985. He is introducing a villain
who is supposed to be dr.dooms mentor and runs through all three seriies so it might be a good
idea to pick up the others. or not. i am not.

I wasn't even remotely excited about this arc, until the first book arrived. I read it and now look forward to the rest of the issues.

I was really curious about the map and Marvel put this up, thought folks might want to check it out.

for a first issue to an arc i thought it was rreally good. the art was of course great. hadnt picked up a wolverine book in a while and mcniven and millar are two of my current faves. cant wait for the next one. did anyone else notice at the back of the book on the map there is an area with no name on it? wonder who owns that?

On rare occasions I'll pick up a wolverine arc if it looks interesting... this one looked interesting. It was a decent read if not a bit dull. It set things up nicely for te arc, though I was hoping for a bit more substance. Safe to say it hooked me enough that I'll follow it through to the end of this arc now though. I loved the Hulk Hillbillies, and the fact that they wered driving the fantasticar I thought was funny too.

I only just started picking up Wolverine (the Get Mystique arc was my jumping on point) so I'm not a long time reader by any means. But this issue -- I just loved it. Can't wait for the next installment. Millar and McNiven are back, baby!

I usally don't try to pass judgement on a story arc (new) with first issue. The first issue is usually the start point, the set-up, and where you get an intro. So i don't expect huge things from first issues.

Still, all in all it was a great comic, a good read and played out like a movie. I liked the issue, it didn't explain much but we got 6 more issues for that, also gotta love the "Green-Necks" lol also the Spider-Mobile (Haven't seen that in god knows how long)

And what did you think.....

The only gripe i really had was that Logan was basically aged like a normal human...this was touched upon i think when they talked about his healing factor in the book....but nothing fleshed out....

But..
I am kind of reserving my final voice about the book till i hear some feedback about what others liked/disliked. Just to see if I was being to hard/easy on this book.
