I have a SA book that would be in the 7.0 range but there is foxing on the back and I don't know how to account for it in the grade. Actually i'll just post a scan of the front and back and let you decide the grade.

Is foxing the brown like muck on the back of the book? I just haven't heard the term before or if I have I've forgotten it.

I'm not too familiar with it either so i'm assuming the brownish markings on back are the result of foxing. Its definately not a stain and can hardly be seen from the inside cover. The gloss seems to have faded away in that area too. We need KOR.

From reading the link you provided..I'd say the markings on the back of your comic look like foxing too....Still I'm unsure of how this effects the book when it comes to grading. Thank you for the link as well

The Wiki link pretty much tells it all--it is not well understood. Generally, I think most people (including me) think of foxing as fungal growth. It hurts the grade pretty bad if it is that severe. Probably drops it to the 5.0/5.5 area.

Uhg. 5.0 is pretty bad. This is a fine example of why you never buy a comic on ebay from an unknown seller without a scan of the back cover. The front appeared to be in great shape but as you can see, the back kills it. Live and learn.
