If someone told me I could only buy 2 marvel comics a month, I would be buying Uncanny X-men and X-factor. I really can't sing the praises of X-factor enough. It features characters that I love, is written in a manner that causes me to laugh till my wife thinks I'm crazy, and at the same time makes the reader care for the characters.

Young X-men, X-force, and Cable are all carrying on different threads of Messiah Complex and are good reads. I feel the strain of so many X-titles each month on my comic budget, but I remind myself of other times. In the 90's the X-titles grew too many in number.

The list used to be:

Uncanny X-men, X-men v2, Cable, X-man, X-factor v1, X-force, X-men Unlimited, Generation X,  Excalibur and 2 character based mini series at a time. It was too much and the bottom falls out and books got canceled.

I just want these books to be left alone, uncanceled long enough to tell the story. I'll understand when the day for axing them comes, but that time isn't now.

And one question, to the people wanting to cancel Ms. Marvel, have you read it? Its really good. I'm not saying its lighting the world on fire like walking dead, but its really good. It deals with a second tier hero, that knows shes a second tier hero. She gets into messes where eventually she will lose, the hero won't win.

» MARVEL ADVENTURES FANTASTIC FOUR > I'd keep these; good reads for younger kids
» MARVEL ADVENTURES SPIDER-MAN

» X-MEN: FIRST CLASS > mmm.... same as above and if it didn't do well, I'd cancel it
» X-MEN: LEGACY
» YOUNG X-MEN > Cancel

Also...

Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy are keepers.

Punisher > After Ennis, I'd cancel it. It will never be the same after him.

Marvel Comics Presents > I'd keep it, but double the size and ship every other month.

The Initiative > keep it going for a while longer

I'd cancel the entire Ultimate line and put the talent on the mainstream books. I'd keep the entire line contained to a single universe for a solid year (no time hoping or other dimensions).

I like the way this guy (gal, whatever) thinks.

Agreed. But put Ultimate Spiderman in the regular Marvel universe, and just use it to replace Amazing Spiderman. I mean, what the hell..it is the better book.

Screw that - don't replace the REAL Spider-Man, just concentrate on making the book as good as "Ultimate" SM, using those artists and writers. These guys have to learn how to not let history bog them down. DC has been doing it for years with their top two characters, WAKE UP MARVEL!!!
