I REALLY need to start looking into getting some of these. I'm getting tired of moving and hauling long and short boxes around all over the place. I like the fact that each file cabinet stores about the same amount of comics that 6 long boxes can hold. Plus it doesn't take up as much room.

BTW Rocket2600, have you checking into getting some of these to set your file cabinets on?

Thanks Rocket2600!

I got my filing cabinets for Christmas but they're too small. I can only fit one set of comics facing towards the front of the cabinet but the next row has to be turned, facing the first set.

Sounds like you have the "letter" size cabinets. What you want are the "legal" size ones. They should be at least 15 1/2" wide (inner drawer dimensions). The Steelcase brand is the best brand to go with. The drawers are longer than HON. Steelcase can almost hold two whole boxes per drawer, where HON is a couple inches shorter than a long box. Also, Steelcase has ball-bearings in the drawer slides. So, the heavier the drawer the better it travels in and out. Finally, they are made out of stronger and more sturdy materials than HON. Best places to look for theser are second-hand office supply stores. Brand new, a Steelcase 4-drawer, vertical, legal-size goes for $700, at least. I got a couple second-hand for $125 ea.

Nope. I never plan on moving my file cabinets once I set them in place. So I have really no need for those.

YUP! Each of my 16 cabinets are on these. Couldn't image them without them.

Do you really move your cabinets around that much?

Once in place I see no need to shuffle them around.

Too heavy to move IMHO.
