| Just read it. Suggests a certain 'slacking' in editorial as DC rather than it being a writers problem. Earl.

| Look, in Seven Soldiers of Victory, Darksied took Human form and ran a criminal underworld...still he was possessed by his search for the Anti life equaition..The "New Gods'' had been reduced to inhabiting the bodies of the homeless... Morrison is pulling from there and just about every obscure area of the DCU he can find...Why? Because..thats what 52 and Countdown are all about...The characters you hardly ever hear about..DC's full of the "known" characters...Morrison wants to give the wannabe's a shot..the one-shots... I for one think it's entertaining... you got a lot of characters..why not use them...

Not to sound dumb, but I don't get what the point of the Final Crisis is? I did read the original Crisis, read thru message boards on what's been going on in DC and even read Final Crisis #1. I just don't get the concept of another Crisis or where they are going with this.

Umm, have you not seen DC's sales numbers? Talk about a Crisis (compared to Marvel at least)!
Seriously though, What Morrison has to say about Countdown in that newsarama interview ... it's ridiculous. The thing was called "Countdown to Final Crisis" for god's sake. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a bit of continuity in there. And DC these days is so continuity driven, with so many obscure things (unsourced of course, where's Julie Schwartz when you need him?), there's no way they can just sweep this under the rug by saying "it's comics. Don't sweat the continuity, it doesn't matter." Ugh, it's super annoying!

I really wanted to get into Final Crisis but it seems like a mess already. I think i skip the second issue and just read the summaries.

I for one am exciting and loving every point of the book! Im also sad that some (maybe "many' is the word) people are not getting the Crisis being depicted in "Final Crisis", and whats surprising is that even on the dccomics.com messages boards are totally thrown to whats unfolding in "Final Crisis".
I even at one point joined a few of the message boards to explain the so called inconsistents that people think and for some reason DC moderators took it down for some reason. I think the reason is... im like Mel Gibson from "Conspiracy Theory" and uncovered the truth, and so to shut me up they wiped my account and now I cant log in on their message boards anymore.
Thank goodness for this message b
