As my board regulars may know, I've been going for two sets of the Diamond Limited TPB's. I cringed a little bit and sent off payment for this last week. Here is my 2nd copy of the Diamond Limited Youngblood TPB. This is by far the worst of the bunch. Pages are upside down. Cards bound in. Just a really sloppy product that didn't get planned well.

Still a cool find even with the production problems. Are pages upside down on both your copies?

Yes. Like all the Diamond Limited TPB, they were made by taking regular comics (sometimes premium versions) and binding them into a TPB. With the Youngblood issues they chose for this, one was a flip book. The other I think had the story panels sideways. Without cracking it open --because it's not something I'd ever be interested in reading-- I'm pretty sure that you have to spin it every direction.... jump ahead... read backwards... and dodge trading card inserts just to get the story.

I'm responding to this because CPG has inaccurate information regarding these ashcans...this one here is for black ashcan#2, not #1, which the price guide has it listed at. There is a big discrepancy here between the two because it is known that a single collector has a very significant number of the number two books (almost cornering the market) which is the reason the number two went so high compared to number one which has popped on ebay from time to time. Just something i wanted to clarify, the priceguide on this site still hasn't changed this discrepancy, not sure who put the number two comic up for an image of number 1?

Thanks for the info. I have attempted to correct several problems with the Maxx Ashcan listings. Could you take a look at the listing now and see if you can see anything that is still out of order.

Thanks.

Earl.

Looks like someone found the correct info or at least what the consensus is on these...whatever happened in the production/distribution for the second and third ashcans made them more difficult to find than number 1.

293 issues total.

Highlights of the Spawn heavy collection are:

Spawn: 1-103 + 32 later issues up to current but no long runs (the later issues are way overpriced)

Curse of the Spawn: 1-29 (including #1 b&w variant)

Spawn miniseries: Bloodfeud, The Impaler, Medieval Spawn/Witchblade, Spawn/WildC.A.T.S

Spawn/Batman & Batman/Spawn

Spawn: Bible

Angela: 1-3 + both special "Pirate" issues

Violator: 1-3

Violator / Badrock: 1-3

Gen 13: 1/2, 0-5 (including #5 variant)

Maxx: 1/2, 1-35 + Friends of Maxx 1-3

All of the original Image miniseries: Cyberforce, Shadowhawk, Savage Dragon, Youngblood, WildC.A.T.S (not officially a mini, but was meant to be).

All the miniseries include all variants, but no ashcans.

If anyone has some of the later Spawn issues (past 103) you'd be willing to part with, let me know.
