Can anyone suggest a good detective/superhero comic for me?

Thanks in advance.

Is there a comic like this, mainstream or otherwise?

I'm not sure if you're asking for a superhero comic with detective elements, or an either/or type situation. For straight detective stories, try Fell, or Dead She Said(only one issue so far, but it was really good).Criminal isn't really a detective book, but you might want to try that out as well.

For both superheroAND detective, the only book that jumps to mind is, ironically, Detective Comics. The recent Dini run has been great and has focused more on the detective aspects of Batman the most other recent runs have.

Depends what you mean by super-hero

The Crossgen sries 'Ruse' is the best recent example I can think of but there are subtle powers not men in tights.

Earl.

I second Dead, She Said. That first issue was tops, and some of the Bernie art gave me goose bumps, it looked like the old stuff. But don't get me wrong, the writing was great and the ending left me jonesin for me, no question. {I'm trying to stay spoiler-free here.}

Thanks, what I was looking for was something in the same vein as Detective Comics. I want a good detective story but with superheroes. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out.

Well without giving much away, I think it's safe to say that our main detective in Dead, She Said is not your average fella. But certainly no tights.
