So we all pretty much know everyones opinion on the main batman title..rather good or bad......but whats your opinion on this book?
I pick it up, and honestly..it feels like total filler to me issue after issue. BUT....It's really good filler, and I enjoy it. I especially enjoyed the latest issue. The art is really bad, seems computer generated..lol..but oh well...
but I was also wondering, cause I have never followed Detective or Action for that matter, but since they're not the main character books, are these books pretty much just filler books anyways?. Not following a certain plot throughout the year and just goes arc by arc?.
Still pretty well written though.

| this is the only dc or marvel current series i actively collect. i like the story in most of the issues. the best DC series out.

| Only mainstream DC book i buy. I can see what you mean by the "filler" aspect, but to me, it's just good,old fashioned, one-and-done storytelling.I agree that the art in the latest wasn't great, but Dini has been doing some awesome stories in this title.

Reminds me of early issues of Shadow of the Bat...there were alot of good stories there for a quick read....and thats what i like about the current Detective series.

I've been really disappointed with 'TEC these days. I was REALLY looking forward to Paul Dini's writing, but it's as is the editorial department said to Paul "Ummm, Paul? Look... Grant Morrison is God in the DCU right now, so don't do anything worth while reading. Kay? And while we are at it, we're going to put the crappiest artist we could on the title so it doesn't get any attention. Kay?"

Yeah, i just don't get the art. It's so horrible. No comic should have to look like that...
It honestly doesnt even look drawn to me. it looks completely done by a computer.
But, yeah, the writing is still good.
