| Does anyone have any suggestions on how to sell an entire collection? I have a collection of 800 books, with an approximate CPG.com derived worth of around $2K. All books are in bags with backboards. Nothing in the collection is newer than 1995. Do I advertise the whole lot on eBay? How would I ship 800+ books? Do I use Craig's List and sell them locally? I simply do not know how to start. I don't even want the full value for them. At this point I would be happy with maybe 1/3 of the supposed value but don't know how to properly advertise them or where to advertise them. Any thoughts?

It's tough to sell 800+ books to one buyer. I would break them up into smaller sets and go about it hat way. If they're not that valuable I would go for craigslist or any other free listing site that gets you exposure. If they were key books then I would go Ebay....D

| Would you suggest that I go through my collection and pull out books listed as key by CPG and eBay those? Then sell the rest as just "commons" (to borrow a word from the card collecting world)?

| That's not a bad idea on pulling out high dollar books and selling them individually. To increase your chance of selling the others, group them into runs.
