Hello,

This is my first post on this forum. I believe this is the correct location within the forum to post this question, if not please help me get to the correct area. Here is my question:

I have what I believe to be a near mint Amazing Spiderman #41, but I am not sure. I have read the grading area on the main page, but I still want some input. Here is what it looks like it does not have any yellow pages (as far as I can tell) and no creasing on the spine. Its cover has a small crease in the lower right corner and no pages bent. Please tell me what I need to do from here.

Thanks
Troy

Posting a scan on this board will get you some fast input on the grade. You will need a host for your picture (such as photobucket) and then use the IMG tags to post it here. I can tell you right now, a crease anywhere will probably take it out of the NM category but you never know.

Where does he get those wonderful toys!

I have yet begun to surrender.

Welcome to the boards!

Scans are the best way to grade books. If the photos are high enough quality and large enough they can work too. Here is one of my scans as an example--I prefer to grade scans of about this size:

That appears to be a reprint of ASM #41.

Even had it been an original, its grade would be about a 6.5/FN+ or maybe a 7.0/FVF.

NM no, but still a nice issue. Probably about a 8.0.

Unfortunately it is also a reprint.

OK so looking at the links provided I see a difference between the two of a black border on the reprint as opposed to no border on the original. Seeing as I am very new to this is this typical of a reprint versus the original? I appreciate the input from everyone.
