I'm no expert, but basically it's gotta be really sweet. Sharp corners & edges, clean spine, bright colors that really reflect, nice white-ish pages, and so on.

There's a really handy site I learned about from a post on these boards: the Examples-Based Internet Grading System.

A 9.0 is like a book right off the shelf with a few minor imperfections. Do you have any scans you could show us and we could give you an idea of what their grade is.

Dropping your pants will not get you comics.

Anything past 150 (except 252, and 300) are not worth slabbing in less than 9.6 or better. 100 - 149 in 8.5 or better. 51 - 99 in 7.5 or better an 10 - 49 in 5.0 or better if you wish to get your money out of the book. Issue 50 is an exception also as it will fetch money in most grades.

Where does he get those wonderful toys!

I have yet begun to surrender.
