There seem to be quite a few interesting issues in this lot that's currently up on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Old-box-of-Comic-Books-305-Spiderman-Superman-Daredevil_W0QQitemZ220225534088QQihZ012QQcategoryZ35770QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It's out of my price range but hopefully one of you out there can snatch it up.

With lots like this I only bid on the comics I can see, I can't afford to specualting on the contents of the box.

Honestly, the books shown aren't getting my attention so I'll move on.

Those grab bags are always such a gamble. It does look interesting but not worth the chance in my opinion.

Me: "Yep."
Someone: "Well I happen to have Amazing Spider-Man #92"
Me: "I have #1"
Someone: ".......oh."

I bought a box of Spider-man stuff like this because there was a 300 in there.  Turned out the 300 was about an F-.

I wouldn't expect there to be much by way of any standouts.  You'd probably book that $400, but fair market is going to be something altogether different.  With all those older books, that Spider-Man issue 20 something seems out of place........

I agree. The seller has obviously cherry picked the collection to tempt buyers.

Why would someone pay $400 for that? I have no idea why people take the gamble on these auctions.

Man I wouldn't bid anything on that lot.   Click on the guys feedback and read the comments people left him.  I bet the comics you get in that box are all CRAP.   You might not even get the ones he pulled out to picture if his feedback is true about what others say about his lots.  That guy looks like a scammer to me.  Even though sellers have a 99% feedback rating, you still gotta look and see what's really going on.  Many people are afraid to leave negative feedback...but will post the negative comment in a positive feedback.  Always good to check.
