Haven't seen this one done before.  It's just wrong in so many ways....

Marvel & DC spend money hunting down people who try to post their (copyrighted / trademarked) comics on the web for free viewing.

I'm thinking DC doesn't like it when people try to sell pdf files of Action comics.

And $40 is not a good deal.

Yep, reselling copyrighted material like that is illegal.  If we contact DC his auctions will get pulled and DC's lawyers will send him nasty letters.

I can buy an overpriced reprint for less money.

You also are not allowed to sell downloadable material except through classified ads.  Items for auction have to be tangible.

I reported him for that violation.

I agreed the seller is braking some copyright law, but this auction is not a scam. He clearly announce he's selling a digital version of the comic. Very overpriced BTW

I wonder how long it will take for the auction to get pulled?

Their is so many of these auctions on eBay..I report them when I see them..making sure they are illegal ones and the majority are but it's really rare that I see eBay shut down the auctions...Or if they do the seller just relists them and then adds something into the auction to make eBay aware they aren't breaking the rules when they clearly are..*sigh*

It looks like the seller is doing it again.

He can go on forever at that, since all he has to do is copy the file or attach it as an email. His "original" file never leaves his computer.
