I was wondering if anyone had any idea what a copy of The Death of Superman autographed by Jerry Ordway, and numbered 43/5000 would be worth. I have a copy, but thanks to my brainless ex-husband my certificate of authenticity was destroyed. I've tried looking in the guide, but didn't see any copies signed by Jerry Ordway. If someone could help me get a price on this I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

Without the CoA, you got nothing. Signed comics really don't carry much of a premium under any circumstances. There were a lot of gimmicks that came into play in the 90s to stimulate collector activity, and none of them held any long-term value. CPG decision-makers have chosen not even to put energy into documenting those limited signed BUY ME ultra-collectible rarity fanboytrap merchandise things. You can try looking at completed listings in Bay to see if you can find sales for any items comparable to your own.

Sorry...

pmad is correct. Personally, I have a hard time picturing ANYONE sitting down to autograph 5000 copies of anything. Plus, the fact there are 5000 instead of 500 (or even 50) makes even dirt more valuable...
