Hey everyone. I've been looking for quite some time to no avail for information on what this is worth. I have Spider-Man #1A (1990-1998) autographed by Todd McFarlane. It has the certificate of authenticity and everything, just curious if anyone had any ideas. It's not graded, but it has been inside of a wizard proguard case since I've owned it. Thanks all.

Personally, I'd pay a couple bucks more because of the autograph, but ONLY because it is Todd McFarlane's. I'd say if you're looking for it's worth autographed, you need to look at it's worth without. Because it's only worth what someone's gonna pay for it. And more often than not, it's not going to add monetary value to get something signed, just sentimental.

I learned it, went to an expo, got TONS of signatures on TONS of books, and found out afterwards that I've actually made them LESS valuable because of it.

Basically, tl;dr: A signed book is worth the same as an unsigned one to what I'm going to consider the majority of people.

If you aren't attached to it, I would get it slabbed and sell it now during the movie's release. According to the guide their were a million copies of your variant produced. That's nearly 10 months of being the number one selling comic nowadays, and any comic from that era (the bubble), printed in that quantity should be worth next to nothing.

That ebay auction is rediculous, and if you can get someone to pay that for your book, I say go for it. Buy it back NM not slabbed, if you like it, for a couple bucks, and keep the change...

It would be a "qualified grade" - not a signature series.

If you want a signed Todd comic, that's the one you want.
