i love the look of the site... and i do like the raw vs. graded values when you click on the issues.. but my question is.. how can a book LOSE value from being graded for example uncanny x-men #127 the graded value is less than the raw value until it gets to 9.0 how does that work?

I'm thinking that might be an error.

Or maybe they finally started taking into account the cost of grading a book versus its value?

It's not a universal thing though. It's only on select titles. Namely Uncanny X-Men is the only one I saw the difference at.

In what world would a graded book be less valuable han a RAW book?

In any world where a 9.0 is worth $50.00 and the cost of grading it is $20.00 and the book is not worth $70.00.

Or do you somehow believe that an ASM 545 is worth so much more because it is graded?

But the comic isn't worth less because it's slabbed, because if you break it out of the slab, the value doesn't increase. The problem here is the guide seems to imply it does. Say I buy a slabbed comic for $20, lets say that's the value of the graded book. Now if I break open the slab, the comic should under no circumstances be worth more. Because the comic itself didn't change.
I have several graded comics. I have not paid for the grading of any comics. So why would we think that the cost of grading should negatively effect my comics?

I'm saying this very polity. I have no idea what you mean. A graded book can be worth higher or as equal value to a raw copy, but no sane person will ever try and tell you that a graded book is worth less than a RAW copy. ever.
