I'm looking forward to it.
Phoenix returns - Cyke sees it as promising for the mutant population (kinda sounding villainish) and Cap seeing it as a danger to the world with Hope stuck in the middle.
As for lasting impacts on the marvel universe - based on the last couple of marvel events I am not holding out a lot of hope (pun not intended). But, But from a complete fanboy stand point - magneto vs iron man, wolverine vs cap, hulk vs juggernaut collosus etc. If nothing else this should be fun!

I agree % with you, I havent read a whole lot prior to this comics so I am not sure how the feud started so I am going to have to do some reading again lol!

time to give this a bit of a bump - A vs X starts this week!!! number 0 hits the stands on Tuesday/Wednesday depending on your lcs and their plans. Mine is having sales on avengers vs X-men and the spin off A vs X series if you drop in and prepay Tuesday after 8. Gonna try and drop in but given my schedule it's unikely 
Anyway - I'm pumped for this. At this pt I don't even care if there are long term implications - I just want to see the throw downs - Magneto vs Iron Man for one. Bring it on!

I've read the first two issues and so far it's not bad but I'm definitely waiting for more. I don't think it will have a huge overall impact on the universe in the long run but probably for the short term.

I reluctantly decided to buy it in case the continuity of the x-books I read is affected. I am only getting the main series and the x-books side of things. I don't read any of the avengers stuff because most of the characters I am not interested in. That and major continuity event are usually really lame. I don't know how many times they start out great and finish weak,especially ones Bendis writes. Not to mention they go on for months and cost more.
