Thanks to all the people who recently gave me advice on listing undergrounds on eBay. I just put up a couple of copies of the old Seattle underground comix tabloid Seattle Star.

You can see one of them here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Seattle-Star-1-Underground-Comix-Bagge-Steve-Willis-XNO-scarce-/330685931577?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item4cfe6ae039

Here's the other one:

Seems to be quite a bit of interest in the old Seattle Star - or maybe people have just never seen the cover to #1 before.

Early in its existence, publisher Michael Dowers sent me forth in the vicinity of Seattle's University District on a quest to sell some advertising to the Seattle Star. I didn't get much response even though I dropped in on every shop and small commercial enterprise on "The Ave." I'll never forget when I made my pitch at the Grand Illusion movie theater and was turned down with a remark to the effect that "movies and comics have nothing in common!" A year or so later, Michael hired someone who was really good at advertising sales and the paper flourished for several years.
