
A CGC Certified 7.5 Slight Professional restored copy of Detective Comics #33 with cream to off-white pages from the Twilight Pedigree brought $15,000 on eBay. This DC Golden key featured the telling of Batman's origin and the cover showcased Batman with a gun holster. The book had Slight Professional restoration according to CGC which included pieces added, spine split sealed, cover cleaned and reinforced.
In the summer of 1995, Bob Gray of Twilight Books and Emporium in Syracuse, New York had one of his customers approach him to appraise their childhood comic collection. The collection of 600 comics included near complete runs of Batman #1-#59, Detective #27-#161, World's Finest #1-#30, Marvel Comics #1 and other key Golden Age comics.
According to the the CGC Census there are 30 copies certified with the highest certified copy being a lone copy in 9.2.
